Frequently asked questions
-
Your body is constantly responding to the world around you. Muscle testing gently taps into your nervous system to see how your body reacts to certain stimuli, questions, or stressors. When something stresses your system, your muscle response subtly changes. It’s not mind-reading—just body-listening.

We chat, we tune in, and we let your body guide the way. I’ll use muscle monitoring to check what’s going on and what’s needed. It’s deeply intuitive but also structured. Sessions often include energy corrections, affirmations, emotional release work, acupressure, nervous system regulation and more—all tailored to you.

Anyone who’s open to a different approach to health and healing.
Kinesiology is for all ages, backgrounds, genders, and abilities. If that’s you—you’re welcome here. We can even work with animals!
-
So much!
Emotional stress, anxiety, overwhelm, sleep issues, gut health, behavioural challenges in kids, lack of focus, burnout, physical symptoms that haven’t responded to other things… the list goes on.
If you’re feeling “off” but can’t quite put your finger on it, kinesiology is a great place to start.
-
Everyone’s different! Some people feel light and energised, others feel reflective or sleepy. You might notice shifts immediately, or over the next few days, weeks, even months. Sometimes it’s subtle; sometimes it’s whoa. Drink water, go gently, and trust your body to do what it needs.
Note: Healing isn’t always a straight line. Sometimes things shift before they settle. It’s normal to feel lighter, heavier, emotional, or even nothing at all as your body integrates. If something feels off, I’m happy to be your first point of call. And if it feels bigger than kinesiology, I’ll gently guide you toward the right support, including your chosen healthcare professionals.

Yes — and also… not always in the way people expect. Kinesiology draws from anatomy, physiology, neurology, psychology, and more. Muscle monitoring is based on the body’s feedback through the nervous system, and many techniques used are grounded in well-established principles of health science. That said, some aspects are harder to measure (yet), especially the energetic ones. So while parts of kinesiology are backed by science, others live more in the intuitive, experiential space — and for many clients, that’s where the magic happens.

Kinesiology isn’t counselling, but it can definitely complement it. While therapy works through the conscious mind and talking, kinesiology works with your subconscious, emotions, energy, and body. Sometimes you don’t even have to talk much—your body does most of the chatting!
-
Absolutely. Kinesiology is gentle, non-invasive, and incredibly effective for little ones—even newborns! Kids respond really well because they haven’t picked up as much “life conditioning” yet. For babies and toddlers, we work via surrogate (usually a parent).
-
Nope! Kinesiology meets you wherever you’re at. You don’t have to believe in unicorns or chakras (though you’re welcome to if you do!). If you're open-minded or just curious, that’s more than enough. Many of my clients were sceptics at first until they experienced it for themselves.
-
Nope! It shares the same root word (kinesis = movement), but it’s a completely different field. There's no manipulation or massage. It’s about energy, stress responses, and balance—not bodywork.
-
That depends on your goals and how deep you want to go. Some clients come for one or two sessions to work on something specific. Others come regularly for support through life’s ups and downs. We’ll always work at your pace and check in along the way.
-
Absolutely! You don’t have to be falling apart to benefit. Kinesiology can be used proactively to stay balanced, connected, and in flow. It’s like servicing your car—but for your nervous system and soul.
-
Yes! Through a process called surrogacy, I can tune into your energy field (with your consent, always) and use my own muscle as a proxy. It works kind of like Bluetooth—wireless, but still connected. You don’t even need to be on a call. I’ll send you a full written report after.

I sure can! Just like humans, our furry (and feathery or scaly) friends can experience stress, trauma, digestive issues, and emotional imbalance. Kinesiology can support them through health concerns, behavioural stuff, big changes, and more.

Because we’re helping your body find its way back to centre. Life throws all kinds of things our way — stress, emotions, tiredness, big feelings, old stories — and sometimes, they knock us off course. A ‘balance’ is what we call the process of gently listening to what your body needs, clearing what’s in the way, and helping everything come back into flow. It's not a treatment or a fix — it's a coming home.
-
Nope! Kinesiology isn’t tied to any religion or belief system. That said, it can feel quite magical — especially when your body starts revealing the deeper emotional patterns behind your stress. Some clients like to bring in their own spiritual beliefs, while others keep it totally practical. It’s holistic support either way.
-
That’s totally okay. Many people arrive feeling unsure, stuck, or just… off. That’s what kinesiology is great for—helping you figure out what’s really going on underneath the surface. Your body has the answers, even when your mind doesn’t.
-
Sometimes! I may use flower essences, essential oils, sound tools, or affirmations to support your balance. But everything is guided by your body—nothing is added unless it’s needed.
Always check in with a qualified health professional for dietary or supplement advice.
-
There are some similarities—like working with energy and intention—but kinesiology uses muscle monitoring as a feedback tool. That makes it more interactive, tangible and tailored. It’s a unique blend of East-meets-West, science-meets-spirit.
-
No, kinesiology isn’t a replacement for medical or psychological care. It’s a beautiful complementary therapy that can work alongside those things.
Always chat with your healthcare provider if you’re unsure.

Absolutely. Everything shared or uncovered in a session stays between us. Your privacy is respected and honoured.

Kineasy Kids was born out of a love for supporting children to stay connected to themselves, their truth, and their spark. But the more I worked, the more I realised adults are just big kids with longer to-do lists and more layers. So now I welcome everyone—whether you’re 1, 101, or anywhere in between.
-
Nope — different kind! That type is a form of sports kinesiology or kinesiology taping, often used by physios and exercise therapists to support muscles and joints. What I practise is called energetic kinesiology. It’s a gentle, holistic therapy that uses muscle monitoring to tap into the body’s stress and healing priorities — more internal than external, and no tape in sight. Just you and your body’s wisdom.
